The Unconditional Love Hoax
One of the most prevalent frauds of our time is the way radical egalitarianism has become part of the Christian churches of the Western hemisphere. Now, I have nothing against "equality". We are all created brothers and sisters, equal under God. It just that radical egalitarianism in our day is not really based on a positive virtue. It is more a reaction to perceived "evil".
Nietsche offered a vision of "slave morality" where the weak, lil guy was somehow always good and the powerful are suspect if not downright evil. Following this upside view we got Marx and Mao and hundreds of millions of deaths in the last century. Now, the West is going EGALITARIAN. And people still don't seem to realize that Equality cannot be forced on a population without destroying human freedom and dignity. But enough of politics....what really grinds my gears is the "religious" aspect of this movement.
That is where I go to church on Sunday and hear the preacher downplay the miracles of Jesus as probably not miraculous...or...perhaps the veracity of Scripture is questioned. Inclusive language is often imposed on the old texts or the patriarchy is attacked. These are just a few examples of how people are trying to LEVEL the lil people with God. One of the most annoying of ploys is the whole "unconditional love" hoax. It bad enough I gotta listen to a sappy chorus of "Jesus our brother" songs, but do we really need to throw out all of God's guidance for the safety net "Hey, if you fail it doesn't matter because I will let it slide."
